Prof. Chris Berney

Professor Christophe Berney is a highly qualified and internationally renowned minimally invasive laparoscopic (keyhole) specialist, and a gastrointestinal and hernia surgeon with over 20 years’ experience in the field of abdominal wall reconstruction.

Professor Berney’s aim is to deliver the highest quality medical services while providing a thorough and comprehensive analysis of individual patient needs.

Prof Berney completed his medical degree at the University of Geneva in 1986 and gained his PhD in Medicine at the University of NSW in 1999.

Prof Berney is also a conjoint Professor and Coordinator of Undergraduate Surgical Teaching at the University of NSW, a Committee Member of the Research Subcommittee of the New South Wales Regional Subcommittee of the Board in General Surgery, and the Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee.
