Dr Gary McKay

Since 2012, colorectal surgeon Dr Gary McKay has been working as a VMO at North Shore, Mater and Ryde Hospital.

Training

In 2000, Dr McKay graduated from Newcastle University and in 2008 he obtained a fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.  He then completed specialist colorectal surgical training with the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand in 2012.   He completed advanced therapeutic endoscopy training and is a member of the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Society of Australia (GESA)..

Teaching

Dr McKay’s clinical work and research includes various aspects of diagnostic and interventional colonoscopy, with a focus on endoscopic resection of advanced colorectal polyps.

Memberships

Dr. McKay is a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ), and the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Society of Australia (GESA).  Dr McKay is currently the director of Colorectal Surgeons Sydney
