Dr Shahidi is an Australian trained and qualified Specialist Surgeon in Ear, Nose & Throat and Facial Cosmetic Surgery. Dr Shahidi specialises in closed structured rhinoplasty. In this approach there are no visible scars.

He has received the highest qualification awarded to Australian Surgeons – FRACS. Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, in recognition of his intense academic and advanced surgical training being fulfilled. He is also a member of the Australian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. His primary interest and area of expertise is Rhinoplasty Surgery. Dr Shahidi treats all aspects of nasal and sinus pathology and disease.

On completion of his medical and research degree from the University of Sydney he commenced his internship and basic surgical training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. On completion of his second year of advanced general surgical training he started training in the Otorhinolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery programme. After a further 4 years of intensive study he completed his Fellowship of the College of Surgeons. He completed the Fellowship of Australasian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery in Sydney.

Dr Shahidi then completed two mini fellowships in facial plastic surgery in Oregon and Indianapolis in the USA; this was followed by attendance at the workshop in Rhinoplasty surgery in Chicago. He was then become the Clinical Fellow in Rhinology and Rhinoplasty surgery based at Charing Cross Hospital in London and also at Royal United Hospital in Bath. Both positions demanded an expert working knowledge of surgical techniques and their application to nasal, sinus anatomy and pathology.

Dr Shahidi has enjoyed mentorship and expertise alongside some of the world’s leaders in Rhinoplasty and Facial Plastic Surgery, Drs Ted Cook, Tom Wang, Stephen Perkins, Hesham Saleh and Ian MacKay.

This international training and expertise has given Dr Shahidi a well rounded and broad-minded approach. His practice thrives on word-of-mouth referrals from both General Practitioners and patients who are delighted with their results.
