Dr Ellis Choy is a dually qualified Specialist Breast and Plastic Surgeon with extensive expertise in plastic and cosmetic surgery relating to face, breast, body and skin.

After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1997, Dr Choy then pursued postgraduate studies in General Surgery at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, gaining his first fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2004.

He also completed subspecialty training in both breast surgery (at the Sydney Breast Cancer Institute) and surgical oncology (at the Sydney Melanoma Unit, now Melanoma Institute Australia). He then undertook advanced surgical training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and was awarded the National Breast Cancer Foundation scholarship for completing his Master of Surgery thesis on patient preferences in multidisciplinary breast care in 2005.

In 2010 Dr Choy attained further subspecialty fellowship experience in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery in the breast and face. He completed the Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide, followed by his Aesthetic Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship in Sydney, specialising in both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic facial procedures.

He is a member of many professional associations, including the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery as well as General Surgery, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), International Confederation of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS), the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the Australian Medical Association (AMA).
